I'm not familiar with this recording, but it sounds like the way JayDee played years ago to me. With Albert Lee on guitar? Don Rich?

The steel player is indeed J.D. Maness, the guitar player is the great James Burton. I got this clip from a friend, so I don't know if the track ever appeared on an album, but it is great picking nevertheless.

Danke. I'm guessing about 10 years earlier than that. To me the style is similar to the way Jaydee was playing on "Sweetheart Of The Rodeo" and "International Submarine Band" records. I'll ask if he remembers at the LA Steel Jam in a couple weeks. |
