Roy Thomson ask me to try some Atkins fingerpicking style on the 6 string pedal steel I have been been working on so I obliged him. Started with some picking in A minor and then a little bit of "Windy and Warm"..I could not remember the bridge so I just made something up and a little "Dark Eyes". A Bigsby lick on the end. Fun!

Nice picking, Bill! I've enjoyed all of your recordings posted here in the last couple of years, 10 string, 8 string, 6 string, non-pedal, pedal, various tunings...
You've proven that a good musician will sound good on any guitar, any tuning! Nice work. _________________ My Site / My YouTube Channel

I really like that Bill!
Lots of potential there. You are
just scratching the surface. With
more experimentation I truly beleive
you could come up with something really
unique for Steel Guitar.
Actually, truth be known you already
have.

Bill that is A NUMBER 1 fantastic guitar pickin. I love that thumbstyle pickin like Merle Travis and Chet Atkins and it is great on steel guitar. I try a lot of that style on the C6 tuning because of the heavier strings. You sound great. _________________ Marlen SD 10 3 and 5,Fender 5 String Banjo, Flinthill 5 string banjo,Johnson Resonator Guitar, Ibanez AFS75T Country/Jazz Guitar. |
