Hello all,

About a year ago I bought a 2nd Hilton and ordered the mounting attachment for an Emmons pedal bar, it looked to be the wrong type of adaptor until a good friend pointed out that my steel is missing a few things from the pedal bar, namely flanges that jut out from the bar for the screws to sit on and a piece that holds the pin in place.

I just got a very cool Franklin pot pedal which is essentially useless unless mounted on the pedal bar. Anybody able to take a picture of the pedal attached to the pedal bar with all the necessary pieces and post it so I can get a sense of what I am missing here? Steels are rarer than hen's teeth here, especially old push pulls.

At the moment the pedal bar just has one hole through the top for the mounting pin, and two others which I assume hold these flanges in place. I am obviously in need of these parts so if anybody's got an idea where I could get them -- Emmons? Steel Guitar Nashville or Scotty's? I would be most appreciative. Also, I would love to use the Franklin pedal with my Williams, any of you Williams owners attach your volume pedals to the pedal bar? My D-10 doesn't even have any place to mount a bracket on it, no holes, etc. Some drilling would be in order.

Thanks for reading my post and offering any advice you can.

Best,

Gerald

This is the bracket that is on my Franklin. I have an old gear drive MSA pedal, but don't mount it to the steel. I think this pic is what you need a shot of.

You guys are the best. One forum member uses a Franklin pedal with an old push pull like mine and even sent me pictures of the little plates that the pedal's footrests sit on. It appears that these plates were held in by four set screws that attach the plates from the underside of the pedal bar. Anybody have any ideas where I might find parts like this for a 1969 push pull? Best to just have Marty Smith machine the parts for me? His work looks to be of extremely high quality.

Anybody else ever get an old PP that was missing the mounting plates? What did you do? Just use a Hilton resting on the floor? Smile

Thanks for your help you all rule.

I'll bet you could call Mr. Franklin and he could send you a bracket for a Franklin that you could modify slightly to make it work. Maybe just drill a few holes.

Gerald my brother -

I ordered those foot pedal rests from Emmons for that S10 you borrowed so that I could continue to use my Hilton w/ Emmons bracket.

Again, that's this one, as I am sure you know:
http://www.tonetronix.com/pc/Hilton-Electronics-Emmons-Pedal-Bracket/Hilton-Electronics-Volume-Pedals/Hilton-Electronics-Volume-Pedals.html

And from Emmons, I ordered:
http://www.emmonsguitar.net/replacementparts5.htm

Shown there as I. #6172 Foot Volume Rest - came with everything needed in terms of screws, plus the little ziploc bag which is really a nice touch.

If you need these immediately, come by and steal (steel?) them off my S10 and give 'em back whenever you are set with your own.
