Hi,
yes, Framus was and again is a German company. This company is now headed by Mr.Peter Wilfer, the son of the former Framus company owner. He started his career as an instrument builder with the company Warwick, famous for their Bass Guitars.

Here is some info about the vintage hawaiian guitars from Framus:
http://www.framus-vintage.de/modules/modells/modells.php?classID=15,16&typeID=114,173&katID=4669&cl=DE
They also built pedal steels: http://www.framus-vintage.de/modules/modells/modells.php?classID=17&typeID=174&katID=4670&cl=DE

Some of you may also identify this guy:
http://www.framus-vintage.de/modules/infos/info.php?katID=4610&cl=DE

BTW I also have a vintage Framus like the one shown on top of this thread but it's blue. I'm ready for a German-American instrument swap. Just let me know.

Cheers
Joerg

Guys, I haven't made a Forum faux paux by listing on Craigslist simultaneously have I? I would like to sell it so I could get a Peavey N 400 amp. I figured some extra exposure wouldn't hurt my chances of finding a buyer. I also need a seat - the stool I'm using is killing my back after about an hour.
