How are these amps for steel? There's one for sale now with an Eminence delta in it. Has anyone owned or played an SE-200 with this speaker? I think it has the Accutronics reverb in it. How do these reverbs sound? $650 a good price? appreciate any help

I have never owned a Webb but other than that, Evans is the best money can buy. Great tone !! _________________ Bill |

An SE-200 has digital reverb in it. 650 isn't a bad price. From the factory it is 150 watts. if you pull the Delta and put a Widow in it you then get the 200 watts. It's rated 200 at 4ohms. The Delta is only 8ohms. Still kicks for 150. |

I have one of theseb and there is nothing in the way of room in the back because the speaker fills it up, so can you install a BW without altering anything about the amp? Also if you have tried this; how did the amp sound compared to the Eminence? I hookesd an EVM 12L ext. spkr to mine and it literally came alive, but i don't want to carry an ext. speaker. We
have a guy here that recones the Eminence to 4 ohms, and one the forumites here said his Evans large cabinet sounded better with the reconing. Just wondered. TJH |

Thurton I didn't have any trouble installing it in mine. I liked the sound but not the weight. I went back to the Eminence. The amp is still plenty loud. My master is on 4 and my gain is on 3.5 most of the time. |

Thanks guys for your help. Which JBL speaker would work best for the Evans SE 200? What about a K-130?
I had one in a session 500rd and I think that was the best tone I've ever gotten. I know it would weigh the amp up, but wouldn't mind a little extra weight for the JBL sound. Just can't seem to get away from them ole JBLs.

Hi Terry, I use an SE-200 and about two years ago took the Deltalite out and put in a 1501-4 Black Widow with a Neo magnet. I love the sound and the SE weighs about 41+ pounds.
Plenty of room to install without any woodwork. Took a little time to break in the speaker basket but sounds better the longer I play it. _________________ Mullen (Black) Pre G-2 9x7, B.L. 705 PUP's, Evans SE 200 Telonics NEO 15-4, BJS Bar, Peterson Strobo Flip, Steelers Choice Seat, Folgers Coffee and Hilton Pedals.

I had an SE-200 with the digital reverb and the Emminence Delta Lite speaker. With that speaker (8 ohms) the max power is 127 watts (considering the maximum speaker voltage I don't remember what the voltage is but that's what it came out to with the formula). With a 4 ohm load it does go up to 200 watts.
I tried to put a 1501-4 BW in mine but the mounting screws were not long enough to mount the Peavey BW speaker. I didn't pursue it as shortly after that I bought a Nashville 1000 and sold the SE-200. |
