Thanks to Jim Cohen we now have a Julian Tharpe and Jimmy Bryan recording on YouTube. Back in the seventies I produced several 45's with various singers. I always used Jimmy and Julian as session musicians. This 45 is not available so feel free to download it. The Jimmy Bryant-Buddy Emmons cd is also on YouTube and can be ordered for 17.oo which includes shipping from--Dave Burley, P.O. Box 211, Franklin, In. 46131. Let me know if you would like to hear more JimmY and Julian as session musiciams and I will see what I can find. Thanks, Dave A. Burley

I would like to add one thing to this thread......I had the honor and pleasure of working with Jimmy Bryant and Julian Tharpe in the mid-seventies. We travelled up and down the highways promoting the steel guitar putting on Jamfests.Jimmy, to. me, was one of the greatest. He not only was comfortable in a jazz jam but could also lay down some great back-up behind a singer. Listen to this recording and you will hear Jimmy do only what Jimmy could do...julian Tharpe? About the only steel player that you would recognize his playing a block away. What a jewel and what a great stylist. When we were doing those Jamfest's, they didn't just take the stage, do their thing and leave, they picked until everyone was wore out. Take a listen and see if you don't agree with what I've said. Thanks, Dave A. Burley
