Hi all, time to jump in and buy my first steel. I'm looking for something that will "grow" with me (not a maverick, carter starter, etc.), though I don't have a huge budget (around $1300). I'd like at least a 3x4 (preferably a Franklin setup 4x5, but that's asking alot) SD-10, but I wouldn't turn down a D-10 in that price range (any MSA guys out there?)
Color isn't too important, but I'd like everything to function as it should and stay in tune. If anyone feels like parting with something, let me know!

Man, you just gotta look at the MSA Fred Shannon has. This guitar is super in sound, value and quality. Will last you forever. $200.00 above your budget but you will never be sorry you got this one.

This is true. Mr. Tilley and Fred Shannon are good people to deal with. You can't go wrong there. |
