Earnest, thats what I thought when I started experimenting with this change but actually it works pretty good. Of course I don't use a conventional Volume pedal, I use my own design.
I would like for everyone to hear this change to A#.
I use it when I raise my E's to F.

Are you sure you're not lowering that 3rd string G#-G? Unless you have a very short scale and use a very small gauge string, I don't believe you can raise that high G#-A#. |

Jim, It goes to A#. I was also little worried about string breakage but so for so good and I used it quiet a bit. Its only a half step above A via your B pedal and I think its a nice affect. I know I could use a bar slant but its just dosen't sound the same.

The tuning on strings 8, 9 & 10 is pretty interesting, too. It gives some really nice changes. Bill, keep me posted on how that A# works out. |

Gary, I'm using standard GL's, I think their 30,34,&36, on those strings. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Bill
Just a note if interested . I have dropped the low G# to E with the proper string gauge. I ordered a new Williams in 02 with this change and had it on several other older MSA 10 string guitars since. I also leave out the D and get it other ways when I use a 10 string. I like a E to D drop as well as a B to D raise. _________________ "The Oddball" A MSA Keyless with pedals to the right. |
