I recently cleaned out a couple of storage shelves in my shop and found one of those volume pedals that was made for a particular model of Sho-Bud steel. It is the pedal that attaches to a Sho-Bud pedal bar requiring a unique attachment bracket that slides into the extruded pedal bar and can be locked into place. If you pick up the guitar, the pedal goes with it! I had to make the attachment bracket (But I had a regular one to copy, so it wasn't hard to do).

I guess I could say that I restored the pedal, since I cleaned it up, had it powder coated, installed new rubber on the treadle and added a Dunlop pot to it. It looks new now and works like a charm.

What is this pedal worth and is anyone interested in buying it? ...Tom

I suspect that someone has such a pedal as I am referring to that attaches to a particular Sho-Bud pedal bar. If that somone could put up a picture of it, I'd appreciate it. That would help eliminate the confusion by some inquirers as to what the attachment bracket looks like that is needed for this pedal to attach to the pedal bar. It would also reveal what the back side of those Sho-Bud pedal bars look like. ...Tom

Thanks Howard. That is the pedal I have (but mine is prettier!). This should remove the doubt about what I'm talking about. ...Tom

Hey gang, a friend saw this post and convinced me that his ailing mother needed the pedal to lift her spirits. I fell for that line and sold him the pedal at a ridiculously high price (I'm sure his mom kicked in a few bucks too). So, this post can be closed. I thank all who helped me out with this one. ...Tom
