Are there a market for steel guitar bodies? I'm almost finished with a pro 2 custom body made from scratch. With 2 necks. But i was wondering if there were anyone out there needing a brand new body for any kind of steel guitar body? Finished or not. Trying to get a responce before i make too many. My son and i are making 2 more with necks. Let me know out there. Lacquered or mica. Either one. Thanks Jimmie

Maybe you could send a picture of your steel guitar body, I would like to see an example. Martin.

Jimmie,
Send a note to every major steel builder and do a little fishin'. You might be surprised at how many builders job out parts of the process -- especially natural finish bodies. Couldn't hurt to ask.

I'd like to look at an example too. Looking for a nice non-pedal console.

Jimmie,

How about making beautiful wood bodies for Emmons push/pull guitars? Not like their standard design but something really special with a round front edge like a Professional or a two tone finish like a ZB?

I bet you could make 'em real purdy! Smile

I'd buy one at the right price.

There is clearly a market for well made cabinets. Mark Giles makes them for any number of builders.

Clearly they would have to be high quality, and the hardware would have to fit perfectly ....but YES , they would sell just fine if priced right .....I don't know anybody that doesn't like a nicely figured piece of wood with or without stain ...Jim

PS...I also agree with Danny ....I'd love to have a highly figured body for my Emmons P/P 12 string ......

Jimmy

How do you fit the guitar bodies? Do you have the endplates on hand for the two new bodies you are making?

Beautiful work Jimmie. If I can find a "basket case" or two, I'd love to have you build the bodies.

Happy Holidays,

JW

I WILL need a few sound boards made in the future. But they will be very unlike in shape and form than what you've shown us... which btw, is a marvelous result.

E-mail me if you feel you could entertain the possibility making something different.
