I have seen this topic before on the " Nashville Recording's" website, but it has been removed for the time being. Anyone have a link to a discussion dealing with leg repair? I want to go to stock length of Zum legs ,(25 7/8")from 27" which is 2" over. Front legs only. Yeah , i know ,I shoulda made a copy. Embarassed Thanks for any pointers.

Harry Jackson came to my house and shortened mine here is how he did it. This man is an expert I think well qualified to do it.
First he took ther legs apart, then He took a steel rod and knocked out the end, cut off the portion need to shorten the leg, cleaned the burs off reinstalled the other part back on. It may be rusted, I removed a new one and it was very rusted, you just have to hit it harder, clean it up and oil it to go back in.
Hope this helps, if you do not understand call me.
