Any experiences with GoldTone LS-6 lap steel (or the 8 string model)?

I'm looking for 6 string in that price range (400€ in Europe) and what is available here. This instrument would be for quiet practise use only, either with headphone amp or no amp at all.I have a GoldTone PBSM resonator I've been happy with.

I recently bought a Fender FS-52 which has somewhat loud acoustic sound but other than that it is disappointment so I will return it to the shop.

It is not possible for me to try before buying the LS-6 so your help is much appreciated.

Many Thanks!

I like the guitar quite a lot. Great scale length, decent adjustable pickup, and pretty faithful to the Oahu Tonemaster aesthetically. The only downside for me is the tone knob placement-directly under my picking hand.

Veli,
I love my Gold tone LS-6. If you have the opportunity.. install a Lollar Chicago Pick up on it. In My opinion i think it sounds better than any Oahu I've played with this new pickup installed. Very Happy

I really like my LS-6 too, except for the knob placement.
I play Dobro as well and the longer scale length makes it easier to go back and forth between the instruments.
