Hope this link works! If it does, this sounds a bit like Curly playing on this Merle Travis cut.

Oops! It doesn't come up every time but one of the random cuts is "Fat Gal" with some pretty cool steel riffs.

That was Herb Remington playing on That Remake of the "Travis" Album. If it was the Original With Curly Playing, You would know it. Curly was all over that Album, Playing over the top on all cuts.

Yes. Herb plays on the 70's recordings that Travis did for CMH label.

Curly's left hand technique in the videos is sm-o-o-o-th! And notice how he is "pointing"--when he plays in inside string, he pulls the bar back.
