Can anyone point me in the direction of one of those that is totally original? I have a war era one with a mish mash of tuners on it and I would like to know what to keep my eye open for to get it back a little closer to as delivered condition. |

Roger........About 10 years ago, I got my first 7-stringer here in Portland for $350.00 w/case.
Since that time, I've seen them go for anywhere between $1,200 and $1,500.
The 3 I have are all in excellent condition so I'd be watchful on any purchase. They come along when one least expects it. E-Bay has had several this last six months of 2009. |

A few years back I was bidding on a mint 7 string prewar, but when it went past 1600 bucks I quit bidding. It went for over 2K. I don't need one to begin with, but if I did I wouldn't pay near that much for one anyway. |
