Here's my attempt at Red Sails yesterday. (I was fooling around with ways to mic and record my Uke for making a backing track). C6 tuning on a six stringer.

John, you did a nice job. Your right hand played the parts cleanly. The only thing I would stress is to work on focusing on your bar hand--there were a couple of spots where the intonation was a little rough. It is difficult to get both your picking and intonation together at the same time--you've got the picking together, now turn your attention to your bar hand.
And don't forget to relax.
Once you get it all together you can focus on pouring your feeling into it. That's when it gets fun. _________________ Links to streaming music, websites, YouTube: Links |

Yeah, Mike..I can definitely hear some flat notes here and there..intonation is always my problem..especially when the recorders on, ha.
Oh, well...I'm keeping at it. Thanks again for listening. |
