I found this on Reddit. Use song ratings to control what goes on your iPod.

Listen to your music on your ipod. When you hear a song on your ipod you dont like, give it 1 or 2 stars. Then when you sync your music, that song will be removed from your ipod.

Also if you add new songs to the itunes library, they will automatically come up in your ipod!

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a good way to keep banjo tunes off of my iPod. Razz
