I play steel and acoustic guitar at my church and have been using my old Peavey Ecoustic amp for years. I have a Nashville 1000 that I use at home. The reason for using the Ecoustic is because I can switch between Pre and Post Eq on the Direct out on the back of the amp. I keep it in Pre Eq because I can turn off the speaker on the amp when playing my acoustic and still get full power to the direct out going to the board and the main house speakers. That way I don't get any feedback. Well, after about 18 years the Ecoustic died. Is there someway that I can get the same thing with the NV1000? I know now, when I turn the volume off it turns off the feed to the main board. Can someone help with this problem? |

Hello Ray,
I just pulled my friend Greg's, NV1000 book out of my mess and see that the XLR Line Out signal comes from the Pre Amp Signal Path. Turning off the Pre Gain will eliminate the guitar signal to the Line Out connector. Turning off the Master Gain will allow the guitar signal to still be present at the Line Out XLR connector and should do what you want. There is another way to do it, but this will be the easiest, and probably least painful. When your ready to go back to steel, just remember to turn the Master Gain back up. Hope this helped just a little. I also hope you and your church are blessed in your music ministry.
