Hi guys, I know most folks think free old and terrible security app when they hear the word zone alarm. Well stop and take a second look.
Zone Alarm has had a paid for professional Security suite for quite a while now but the newer revised version has a lot of stuff going for it.
The name of the newer app I'm speaking of is "zone alarm extreme security" I won't go into it completely but I will go over the most important feature so you will understand how good this app is.
What makes this app so cool is the way it fights malware and virus's. It merely runs your computer in a complete virtual environment (that means your complete computer every hard drive and so on) so if you do get infected and crash or even if you don't crash za finds it and tells you what has happened and gives you choices. If the malware causes your OS to lock up or crash za just uses the real os to delete the virt. os and rebuilds another virt. environment. It removes the need to scan your computer although if you think something has slipped by you can scan your computer including the virtual os and the real one and if you do that it's just as slow as all of the other anti-virus apps due to the size of our hard drives these days. By the way I've never scanned my computer and I installed this app when I installed windows 7
just Google "zone alarm extreme security" and click on the link. It's a little steep but to me it's worth every cent. I no longer have to worry where I go on the net because of the way za works. Check it out! _________________ ***Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow*** |

What Bob said!!!
I like the fact it came with the
right to use it on 2 computers. I
replaced several free anti virus/spy/
malware programs with this and it's cleared
up conflicts that using several different
apps can cause.
On occasion I check my system with the
Kaspersky online scanner to get another
shot at finding any malware. So far ZoneAlarm
has kept my systems clean. |

I happen to be affiliated with ZoneAlarm and have a page describing and linking to the various ZoneAlarm security products.
You are able to download trial versions to test them, then purchase a license if you decide to keep them. All have annual subscriptions that usually cover installation on up to 3 PCs. There is even a secure wireless router from Checkpoint, the parent company. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

One of my clients bought ZA about a year ago and had so many problems they had to uninstall it and got rid of it.
I use to use the free ZA firewall but when I first got Vista it had compatibility problems and I stopped using it. I didn't have any problems with ZA and XP. |

I still use the ZoneAlarm free personal firewall and like it just fine. I usually install it on computers I setup for others, unless they purchase a commercial suite.
I do have a customer using ZoneAlarm Extreme. It seems to do a good job of protecting them from themselves! _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
