Hi Everyone,
I'm not new to the Forum because I've been reading and surfing for the last year but never got around to joining until now. I primarily joined due to the interaction between all the steelers and the wealth of knowledge available here.
I'v been playing steel for more years than I like to remember and am still learning and picking up new info each day from the Forum.
I'm from the old school where "country music" is heavy on fiddle and steel with a "walking" bass playing Texas 2-step dance music (played in South Texas in '70's) and finally got back to Ga.
Looking forward to 'gabbing" with you guys!!I read the recent post's on tone bars and as I have use the same old bar for 20+ years broke down and got a new BJS bar from Seymoure and I can't say enough good mouth about it..LOVE it.

See ya!

Welcome, Jim. You'll never go back to brand X when you've got the BJS.

Gary- Picked with fellow named Clifton Jansky and the Drifters from '73-77 and seems like we hit about every night spot around (really, heavy in San Antonio, Austin, Segin, Bandara, Del Rio. etc) Jansky has 3-4 regional hits (charted with Amarillo By Morning, A regional hit until George S. picked it up and made a MONSTER with it! More than likely we crossed paths somewhere!
Thanks!
