I just wanted to post an update to my planned release of the Four Wheel Drive video. After much consideration, I've decided to have this Volume 1 made into a DVD, rather than making it a digital download. The reason for this is, even with many trial runs, I could never compress the video into a small enough file size and have an acceptable final result. I was able to get good quality, but with a download size much too large. I don't want to compromise what I've worked so hard to achieve, and I'd like the viewer to be able to get a nice full screen view, if desired. Also, having a DVD will allow menus with chapters and much easier navigation.
I will be sending out the master disc for production next week. I should have the DVD ready to ship, with printed tab, in a few weeks. I will also offer a TablEdit file and backing track to all purchasers.
I'm going to continue the production of "mini-lessons" and transcriptions for digital download. These will be approximately 15 or 20 minute shorts and will be chock full of information. Although the extended DVD format allows me to go into far greater depth, I can still get a ton of performance notes and tips into a transcription video.
