Is there anyone that can work on a Derby, close to West Virginia area? I live in Parkersburg.
I have a SD-10 with 3 & 5, and would like to have some pull's changed and a couple added to my Knee's,also I need the vertical knee lowered somewhat.
If anyone can or would work on it, you can email me or just post here on the forum.
Merry Christmas

How far are you from BillyCoopersMusic in Orange, Va? I'd check with him. He works on my guitars, FYI.

Billy,
Charlie is correct, Billy Cooper sold Derbys for a long time and probably knows them as well as anyone. 5 1/2 hours is a good ways, but he would do you right and should have any parts you would require. Maybe send it to him, then drive out to pick it up.

Look at the knee lever mod I did on mine. Photos here: http://cid-594320d13092d8fb.skydrive.live.com/home.aspx I'm 5'2", didn't have much choice. It is adjustable and you can do it yourself, but I didn't like the acute angle when I adjusted mine. Hence the mod. It dropped the knee lever by about 1/4" reducing the adjustment required. It's 1 1/2" wide, longer then the original and very comfortable. Installs with Velcro.

My best to you,
Dick Sexton

I like your avatar, Dick.... Smile

Billy! My old Derby looks a little different from when I shipped it to you, doesn't it? I need to get another one again someday - a D-10 next time.

Happy Christmas, all!
