Here's the before side.I put it together just to see if I wanted to proceed with restoration or parting it out.I've got,or have coming,everything to do a complete make over.Wish me luck guys.
I'll post the completed job,when it's done..

| Well the fretboard will be the Fender board that you see on it now.As to the color I'm not real sure..Maybe white or Fender blonde.I'm tryin' to keep it as much Fender looking as I can..Gotta keep the cost down.. |

Hey Papa,
Looks like all is going well on replacements items for the restoration.
Looks like there is plenty of grain deterioration and other little imperfections. This is where the two "P's", patience and perfection come about. There's a professional cure for most everything that I can visually see in the pictures.
Just take your time and seek advise when needed and you will be one proud owner of one fine instrument when done.

Yeah there's a mess of dings and such that rule out a clear finish..I'll fill,sand and primer it smooth, then a solid color..White is the way I'm gonna go..Undecided on which type of laquer I'm gonna use,probably nitro..
I know that I'll get help here if I ask for it.That's what makes this such a good forum. |
