Does anybody know if there is a simple rhythm box out there that runs on batteries for under $100?

I picked up a beginner's electric steel for learning (rather than knocking about my National) and would like to play it through my home stereo (with mixer) and would like to have a rhythm box to go with it, something a little more elaborate than the metronome in my tuner.

Thanks!

You might check out an inexpensive keyboard. Most have rhythm tracks built in and some run on batteries or wall wart.
