Hi
Anyone have any specs or info on a pre-war Gibson Recording King Roy Smeck MODEL A104 ?

I.e. type of pickup, how they sound compared to a solid body lap steel

thanks

Tim

I don't know how they sound, but according to George Gruhn's book they have a "blade pickup in oval housing".

The sound is very similar to Gibson's EH 150/EH 100. Fantastic tone, but lacking in sustain due to the hollow body construction.
