Would anyone here happen to have the chord progression , and the chord voicings used in this classical composition. If you can recall the 1971 film " A Clockwork Orange", this song is the theme from said film. I do belive that it was originally scored for four-piece trumpets, however I would like to figure it out on the steel as I feel this sort of thing (playing on the steel *note for note, with identical phrasing*) would work wonders to develop my approach to making things fit within a song of most any genre, not just Country music. Thank you in advance. When I eventually figure it out myself, as I am quite determined to do so on this one, I will share the outcome with all whou would like it. |

Try the above. If you Google "Funeral March for Queen Mary Henry Purcell" you get quite a few results.
If you record it on steel I should be very interested to hear the result and compare it to versions I'm familiar with on original instruments.

Thank you...
Hopefully I shall have it figured out by next year around this time given the pace I work at!!
In all seriousness, this is one tune that I am motivated to analyse because I enjoy listening to it so much. Thanks for putting that free notation site upthere aswell.
All the best in the new year,
