"Steel Guitar Rag"......This tune was hard for me to get thru. It was to fast in some places and to slow in other for the way I was trying to play it. I miss some notes here and there and most likely should have left this one on the shelf......anyway , tell me what you think....William Litaker

William,

You made it your own. Forget all the tab and DVD's learning to play it like a thousand other people.
Good stuff. Smile

William, That was a very good arrangement of Steel Guitar rag. I've played many Dances and I know your version of the SGR would get'um out on the floor!
Good Job!!

William, I loved that. Like to see someone put a different twist on a classic,Mr. Seymore has it on one of his CD'S doing it in Em minor. Also heard one of the greats [can't remember which one] do the Tennessee waltz in 4/4 time. Now that's different.Keep em' coming. YOU BETCHA,DYK?BC.

William, great arrangement with some nice twists and turns.
I liked the little part of "Nails in My Coffin".
Super job.

I am using a Nashville 1000. I played an Evans for years and it has been really tough getting used to the 1000. I think I have as close to the Evans sound as possible. Had trouble getting the low mids out. Drove me crazy.....anyway......you use what you have.

I think it was Jeff Newman that told me years ago that it is not the stuff its the man behind it......that is so true and I never forgot that.....William Litaker

I think you did a very nice job,to start with.
That is a little harder to play that song, that way.
Also.
One of Jeffs old charts teaches that way, off of the bottom strings.I can play it pretty smooth at home.
On a gig I loose my bottom string habit on that song.I think in that lesson,he also went to the four right away, which the song does not do . (I do some times).
