Someone posted the whereabouts of Danny Davis. I'm a brass player too,as well as steel. I have several of their albums. Love the sound of The Nashville Brass. Maybr they could have a reunion concert on the Opry sometime. That would be great.

Kenny
It was I who posted for information on Danny
Davis. Danny now lives in Nashville and according to Smiley Roberts is still active
doing personal appearances with Boots Randolph.

Like you, Iam a fan of Danny Davis and have known Danny since we worked together at the Village Barn back in 1955. This was long before his success with his newly found sound.

Danny had the show band and I had the alternate group. My dad and myself thought
alot of Danny and I still do. My dad worked
along with myself and 4 other musicians,my dad had been a steady fixture at the Village
Barn since 1932.Danny played for the acts on the show as well as playing alternate with my group.

I will be calling Danny in a day or so and tell him people namely yourself were asking about him.He was a fine trumpet player as well as a good vocalist. At the time we worked together, his band backed me up on the
floor shows at the Barn.

He was fascinated by the steel guitar and would always enjoy blowing his trumpet during
my solo's.

Years later he moved from this area and the
next thing I knew he had formed "The Nashvile
Brass". He was and still is one of my favorite musicians and a fine gentleman.

I certainly will tell him you were asking for him,,he and I have a lot to catching up to do.

Thanks for your inquiry.

Jody,

I have a friend who was a guitar/banjo player for Danny in the late 80s and early 90s. I think he played with Danny when he was based in Branson. I have lost track of him and would like to locate his whereabouts. His name is Gary Welch. If you see Danny, could you see if he remembers him and knows where he is?

Thanks Allen Peterson
