I just want to put in a good word for Doug Earnest and his guitars. 30 years ago or so I used to dabble on the PSG. It was an old borrowed Maverick. Never could get another cause I spent all the music money buying the strats, teles and acoustics to beat the pavement with. I decided its time to get one after all these years. Did considerable research and decided on the Stage One. I think it was a good decision. Doug was a great help, guitar got to me unbelievably fast, sounds and looks great and I can not tear myself away from it. I actually remembered a lot of things I had learned long ago. Any new players would be wise to look at these. Thanks Doug!!!

Robert, I just wanted to second your take on Doug Earnest's StageOne steel guitar! I received mine in July and have enjoyed playing this thing immensely!! I have heard a lot of PSGs in my lifetime of both listening and playing in country western bands, and I think with the addition of a Goodrich Matchbox 7A played through a Peavey NV112 a person would be hard-pressed to find a pedal steel with a better tone. Especially anywhere near the price of a StageOne!
Doug does a great job and is a super guy to deal with! Kudos to Doug!! Smile Smile
