Hi.
Yesterday I found out something odd:
I tried an unusual layout for a copedent, and found it to be a lot more "readable". I found all these chords just looking at the copedent table in less that 30 minutes - I could never do it that quick on a standard layout.
Why I tried this? when the strings are in horizontal order, their relation (so the chords they make) are more readable to the eye.
Also, pedal&knee line-up is more logical: in the traditional layout, all LK-levers are close to each other. But you can never do LKL and LKR at the same time, so it's better to have LK's and RK's put next to each other, again this is more readable.
Just wanted to share this with the forum...
Was also curious to see if this has been tried before
Here's the layout I'm talking about (click to enlarge):
(this copedent is still a work-in-progress...)
