I've got a Rickenbacher Silver Hawaiian that's apparently one of the later '30s models as it's got a plastic or bakelite bridge. I've noticed that the first year or so early model Silver Hawaiians came with nickle plated brass bridge and nut, and to me, this set-up sounds a lot more resonant that the later
non-metal bridge models.

Has anyone fabricated a metal replacement, and if so can they provide any advice? Thanks, Rob
