I would like to buy a copy of Katz Kobayashi's Cd or cassette. For those of you who don't know about Katz, he played for Marty Robbins and Jeannie Pruett, and I am sure there were others. Nice guy and a great player. Thanks!

It's already gonna be 6 years in February 2010
that that Katz passed away in Panama City FL.
at 60 years old. The last time I seen him was
in Mytle Beach S.C. in 97' and he was one heck
of a cook. I'll keep my eyes and ears in search
of his material. He was one of the good guys.

Thanks

Charlie

But I loaned to a friend...it's long gone now...darn it.

That's a great picture of Katz from about 1973 or 1974. J.D. Hoage on guitar, an Ovation Breadwinner as I recall. The two of them played with RC Bannon in 73 then Katz started with Pat Roberts and The Evergreen Drifters in 74. I took his place in 75 when they teamed up again and went with Marty Robbins. They played some smokin' hot twin leads I can tell ya.
