Now you can all hear it. This is my classical music trio. Carole Mukogawa on viola, (Carole is really the leader of the group. Check her out on Google) Michelle Beuchesne on cello and me on steel. In addition to playing my part, I also wrote the arrangement.

The piece is from the 1500s. Our repertoire includes more recent material too, including a piece written in 1986.

Note how most of my part is played in the bass register. I put E9 changes on the low strings of my U-12 that extend the bass range to low A, below the usual low E, and I took full advantage of that on this piece. (There are places where I'm supporting the other instruments where you might think it's a real bass, but it's not. It's the steel playing a bass line.)

BTW it's 99% certain that the trio will appear at the Southwest Steel Guitar Association show in Phoenix in January. Normally we perform before classical music audiences who are unfamiliar with the steel. This will be the first time we will perform for my friends in our community. (I'm already getting nervous.)

I want to thank Charles, both for putting up my piece, and for maintaining his wonderful site in general. It's so great being able to hear everybody's work.

Everybody, let's give Charles a round of applause.

You are a braver man by far than I! Whew! I don't think I'd really attempt most classical pieces on PSG. Hard enough on 6-string. You've got some pretty wonky glissandos on the bottom end in there. Mr. Green
