I got my new (used) Fessy SD-10 yesterday and it's a fine guitar, but in trying to get it set up and tuned. I'm having a problem getting the 3rd pedal F# to raise far enough. Everything else on the guitar seems to tune OK. Do I just need to adjust the pedal stop for slightly more travel or is there something else I'm missing?

Skip, I bet you just changed strings. Might have had a 11.5 or 12 on the third. They will pull up quicker. But you know that, Oops, back in my box...

If you need to pull farther you would need to put that rod in a slot farther away from the guitars body (if the guitar is upside down, this would be a "higher slot").
Make sure the tuner at the enplate is backed off so there is just a little play in the rod when no pedal is depressed.
Then the other place to check is where the pedal rod meets the crossrod/bellcrank... there should be a "stop"-adjustment there that you could back out a bit to allow that pedal to depress farther / have more travel. |

Skip, you might want to back off the nylons for the C pedal's 4th & 5th strings first.
Then try tuning only your 4th string E to F#. If that tunes up to F#, and returns ok, and you have free end play in the pull rod, then tune your 5th string B to C# raise.
If you can't get the 4th string up to F#, you'll need to find out why, before going on with tuning up the 5th string's raise to C#.
It takes more pedal travel to pull the lighter gauge string, up a full tone, than it does to pull the heavier gauge string up a full tone. So you'd want to set your pedal stop via the 4th strings raise. Then you'll know you've got plenty of travel for the 5th string's raise.
