When I walk away from Win7 for awhile, the screen goes black, and on this Acer PC the ON switch BLINKS.
Rolling the mouse does not bring back the desktop.
I've got to push the ON button to "OFF" and re-start.
I went into Personalize/Screensaver and tried a few things, but all for naught. Maybe I didn't hit "save" or something.
How can I simply keep the desktop screen UP, and not have this PC turn off or go into some kind of timewarp?
Thanks all.. _________________ Chip

It sounds like it is going into either Standby, or Hibernation. Go to Control Panel > Power settings and adjust them to your preference. You can disable Standby, or make it wait until the PC has been idle for x number of hours. Ditto for Hibernation.
Don't forget to click Apply after changing these power settings. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

Thanks Wiz,
That should do the trick. Both Display and Sleep were set to 5 minutes.
It sure helps to know where to look. _________________ Chip
