Fresh off my bench is this '72-73 (approx) 100 watt Fender Twin Reverb. It has new filter caps, octocoupler, coupling caps and I replaced various resistors that where out of spec. The bias balance pot had failed and I change it to a bias adjust pot blackface style. It is properly biased and ready to go. All the tone caps are original. Power and OT are from '72 and the choke (replacement?) from '76.
The amp has a brand new matched quad of JJ 6L6s in it. Preamp tubes are JJ and EH. Speakers are non original but a nice sounding pair of ElectroVoice EVM-12Ls. Sweet. This is a particularly loud Twin.
The cabinet is a replacement I purchased here on the forum. It has some good life left in it but unfortunately would not survive shipment if not handled carefully. If will be fine for hundreds of gigs but UPS or FedEx would kill it with the heavy EVs in there. As you can see from the pics there is a strange cutout in the upper left of the baffle board. If does not effect sound or structure. The rest of the baffle is intact. Local pick up on this one from Wildomar, CA. I'm loosing my but but will sell it for $550. PM or email me for any questions you may have.

that's one great deal on this amp, esp. with the work you put into it..wish I lived closer
My current 70s era silverface had these EVs in it when I first got it back in the 1980s, gigged with it for 10 years before "selling" it over Ebay:
FEDEX DESTROYED THE CAB, I got it back in pieces, filed the insurance claim and then set about restoring it, the only original now is the head casing and the "silver face"
I just love these amps, and in retrospect I wish I had those EV's back in it, as heavy as they were, I believe all the volume came from them
Im using Eminence Red Coats The Tonker now...they're alright.

Josh,
I have a forum member interested in the chassis only. Would you be interedted in the EVMs if that deal goes through?
These are wonderful amps. This one has been through the mill but works & sounds great.

Rich, I'm interested in only one of the EV's, if it works for you. |

I have to wait and see what happens to the chassis only deal before I can commit. If all works out I'll part her out.

Wish I could take advantage of this great deal, I also hate for you to have to split it up. |

Guys,
There is another way but shipping would be expensive. I could remove the chassis and speakers and ship three cartons, chassis, cabinet with tubes, the last one with the speakers. I pack well and always double box speakers in proper sized cartons.
I'd guess $150-$200 for three heavy cartons.

The Twin Reverb is still available. I may part it out if nobody says yes in the next few days.
Best,
