Lee,
It was an absolute pleasure of mine. Everybody I play your song for thinks it great. My 3 yr-old son was even dancing to it this morning!
Best wishes,

Lee sent me that clip last week and it
is really impressive. The true authentic
sound of Don Helmes. That Gibson was meant
for him and he is doing it justice big time.
Lee is a fine Dobro player as well. I like
listening to everything this man plays.

Now that is how Hank Williams Sr's music is supposed to be played. No Hawaiian overtones.
This is a lose and uneducated guess, but, are you playing that with an E13th tuning?
Great playing Lee |

Hey all you forumite's... Thank you for all the nice words... its people like you that make sharing a pleasure. We all know the great works and sharing of material that Roy Thomson gives to us. (He's my hero)
Yes Les... While the guitar was inroute, I ask on the SGF for the tuning that Don used and received some terrific feedback. It suppose to be the orignal tuning he used with Hank and on a bunch of other artist records. Thanks to all again and hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Lee |
