Duane Marrs invented and built this instrument several years ago but had to stop making it when He became over loaded with pedal steel building and repair. Known literally world wide as the {cat-can}, this little guitar has been re-designed and now comes with an electronic processor installed internally that accurately reproduces the resophonic sound.
Specs for Lap style RGS
Body- Blue Tiger maple with high gloss finish.
Controls-Mounted on top of the guitar are two tone controls for reso sound and one tone control for the lap steel mode. A selector switch for changing from reso mode to steel mode and a George L pick-up.
Electronics-The felt covered back of the guitar has a removable plate unde which the processor and wiring are installed inside a cavity in the body. The small cover is another removable unit which houses two 9 volt batteries to power the processor. Battery life is about two hundred hours of playing time.
This guitar is in brand new condition, no issues, and includes the optional hard shell case.
$900.00 plus actual shipping.
This guitar sales new for $1295.00 with a hard shell case, and there's a waiting list to get one.
Paypal excepted.

For those playing in an electric band this is the answer to the feedback problem you have with your reso. I have a six string and the tone is truly reproduced. The steel side of the two position switch is great too. A wonderful instrument. |

Right you are Will! In fact, these guitars have the absolute best electronic resonator guitar sound I've ever heard, and no feed-back problems no matter the volume you need to play at! |

Yes I must agree these are spot on for reso at full volume ! I have a black 8-stringer the same as Danny's and it is just awesome for what I need. _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

Here's the same idea, a step further.
Marv (Pfluger), and I have built several of these.
I use this one or another one I have all the time. It gives me the ease of a Dobro and pedal steel on stage together and all I have to do is flip two switches to go from one to the other. Although I do miss the C6 neck on occasion.
Here's couple of photos.
1) One of our hybrids. Formally a Carter D10 guitar, here it's on the bench and undergoing surgery.
2) Marv in his shop.
3) The final result. Now known worldwide as "The Cabterbro".
