I am new to this stuff so I have a Question.
What is meant by "1/2" in the following:
"7A---7A1/2----7" ?
Thanks for the help,
Bob

The "A" pedal raises strings 5 and 10 a whole step.

"7A1/2" means only engage the A pedal "half way" (its less than halfway in my experience) so that the strings are raised only a 1/2 tone.

7A = G#
7A1/2 = G
7 = F#

Greg Cutshaw has some good material on using the "half pedal"
