This is a good place to start learning chord locations using only the A,B, and C pedals, while keeping things close together. Play strings 3,4,5/ 4,5,6/ 5,6,8/ and 6,8,10.

Notice the Chord Numbering System on the left of the chart. We'll do knees levers later. If you spot an error, please let me know ASAP.

Hope this helps someone...it did me.

Tommy

Use lowercase roman numerals for minor chords, ex:

I, ii, iii, IV, V, vi, vii*

This:

VI7 - V7 - ii7 - IM7

is different than this:

vi7 - V7 - ii7 - IM7

There are a lot of good courses out there, but for whatever it's worth, I learned from Winnie Winston's book, and recommend it.

Winnie's book, Amen! I bought his book before I bought my first steel. Great idea. I never was afraid to work on my own steel after reading it. A really good place to start getting the basics and it doesn't stop with that. I do wish I'd taken the advantage of an instructor though, one on one. Lucky for me, I had a couple steel playing friends around.
