Recently I changed my LVK (E9) to lower the 5 and 10 strings a whole tone instead of a half tone like I've had for years. I really like the PF change but I like to split it up too. Before I changed this knee lever I had the whole tone lower on ped 4 and the half tone lower on the LVK. It worked but it can really stink if you run into the 3rd pedal instead! The trouble with having the whole tone lower is it's too much travel to be comfortable for me. I'm thinking maybe there's something else altogether. I have the 6th string whole tone lower on my RKL. This is an Emmons set-up and I'd be interested to hear some suggestions.

Hi Frank - Why not put the 5 & 10 whole tone lower on pedal one as PF recommends for the emmons setup. You can then half pedal the bflat change or else put it back on the vertical. Some emmons pedal setup players have bflat on rkl and g+ to f+ lower on lkv.
I find it easier to have g+ to f+ on rkl as it is easier for me to combine it with e to e- which is on lkr and the 5th string lower b to b- which I have on pedal 5 this can be worked with the right foot; I can't get the 5th string to lower a whole tone but pleased that I can get the 6th string to lower a whole tone. I raise both f+ to g on the lkv and have th PF 1st & 2nd string raises on pedal 1 seperate from the 6th string lower on rkl. regards G.

I thought PF uses or did use the "PF" change on his 4th pedal but I could be mistaken. I'll probably go back to lowering the 5th string on pedal 4 as it would be simple to do at this point. The problem with having the PF change on your ped 1 is that it would not be nearly as easy to use your E-Eb knee lever along with it.
