I'd go as far as saying that James and Alison - either as individuals or as a 'duo' - are nothing less than national treasures. On my road-trips I probably listen to more CDs by these two great artists than anyone else. Good taste and amazing musicality.

That link prompted me to listen to Elvis' version - very different, but no less captivating. Watching the 'stills' on the YouTube clip reminds me of how charismatic he was!

(You know what Elvis and I have in common? We both have J-200s!!! Very Happy )

And I didn't know that Chet wrote the tune!!!

Just listen to his chimes at 1:30
The mark of a top steel player...he can balance out a song with just a few little dittys like that. Man it tears me apart.

That's just as good as it gets. Goosebumps all over! About a hundred times sweeter than her duets with that hard rock guy...

Their voices really gel, like they were made for each other, just like George & Tammy.
