Aloha Derrick,
Mahalo for posting this info. I presently have no need for his srevices, and hopefully won't in the future. It is still very comforting to know such craftsmen are around.

I'm with you Ron. I have just become the owner of bakelite Rickie and I am considering taking it to bed with me. |

Fortunately I don't need this type of repair but who would you guys recommend to restore a pre-war bakelite Ricky? I have a 7 string and the little while plastic panels on each side of the pickup are broken and the pickup is really weak, my fry pan is more than twice as powerful so I know it's a pick up problem as I by passed the tone and volume controls and there was no improvement. |

One thing to think about if a stand is used, don't leave the cord plugged into the guitar (bakelite) when it's not in use. Murphy's law sez someone will trip on the cord. The result is self evident ![Sad](images/smiles/icon_sad.gif) |

Now that's dedication to your craft.
Seriously though, it's good to know such a resource exists Just In Case. _________________ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
