If you have a cassette player and turntable, all you need is a USB interface that plugs into your computer. It will come with the software to put the songs on your hard drive and you can then burn them to CD. It's a simple process. It will do VHS tapes to DVD also. Cost is $20-$30. BestBuy, Radio Shack, Office Depot, etc... should be able to fix you up.

I got a catolog last week from www.heartlandamerica.com (800) 229-2901. They have two CD recorder's that will copy LP's and cassettes to CD. One is $149.99 and one is $249.99. Prices include shipping. The low prices make me leary of the quality and reliability, though
