After all is said and done, we had quite a good time at the Arklahoma Steel Club's first Concert of Steels. In the old posting, James Moorehead, Jerry Roller and Jim Florence already commented on how well things went. Most of the 10 players didn't know what to expect, but all did a good job and we had a good rotation of players for the backup band. The ladies put together quite a feed and the proceeds, which were by donation, were given to the Muldrow Opry for the use of the facility.
At one time, I counted, including the band and ladies in the back, 123 people. Not bad for a club of 10 players!
Thanks to all who helped make it a success and we'll see you at our Dec 6th meeting and Christmas dinner. |
