We just started a How To series on Chords that lays out in TAB and notation, your C6 fretboard.

I've added a matching MP3 "audio only" lesson, where you can hear the chords in the exercise played against one of my backing tracks, plus some ideas on how to use this simple exercise to start improvising and exploring your lap steel.
