What kind of Amp is Peter Nylund playing thru (the Peavey with the horn)?
Looks like a Reno 400 but I didn't know they came with a black widow.

Yes, it's my Reno 400 and it does have a BW speaker. They're intended for fiddle. I found it in Dublin music shop and bought it for next to nothing. It didn't sound too good for steel until I disconnected the horn. Now it's essentially a Nashville 400 with a taller cabinet. It has been my gigging amp for ten years or so.

Since I live fairly close to the venue I brought it with me intending it to be available as a spare in case any of the "decent" amps gave trouble. Since I was first on and had a bit of time to spare I hooked it up. It sounded ok mic'd through the PA so I went ahead and used it myself. It remained on stage for most of the first day. Everybody sounded great to me but then, it's all in the hands isn't it Very Happy

Yes, I used it too, thanks Paul. I thought it was some sort of keyboard amp, it certainly sounded good to me. I would keep hold of that one if it aint too heavy.

Thanks for the feedback on the Reno.
I recently picked one up and have done two gigs with it so far.
Mine has a no-name (non-BW) 4ohm speaker in it (possibly the original).
It sounds really great for electric guitar, and very good for Steel, as is.
I bought if from a fiddle player.
