Has anyone had the Schoonover modular spider, and Fishman pickup installed?
Got an email from Kent Schoonover, the cost for the pickup, modular spider, and pedal would be $500 plus shipping cost both ways. Can't afford that, got to go another route. Can some of you experienced players that have tried running a mic from PA to dobro, give me your opinion of the best mic for the job. I've tried an SM-57 and it wadn't bad, but what would be a better mic than the SM-57 , say under $250-$300, that would give a more natural sound from the dobro? I'd really appreciate any advice ya'll can give me. BTW- I'm using a Rob Ickes model Scheehorn, with the Schertler Basik pickup and preamp. Thanks
