Gary has worked his magic again. Black mica on the top and rear apron, and black-to-blue lacquer front apron. It's so smooth, you can't tell where the mica stops and the lacquer begins. Under the hood is a piece of art as well. Just see for yourself. I was fortunate to get to meet Gary when I took delivery of the guitar. He is justifiably proud of his work, and he wanted to be sure I was happy with it. Needless to say.....YEAH, I AM! I got it home and was going to spend a few minutes getting the pedals and knee levers adjusted to fit, and two hours later I was still playing and loving what I was hearing. I took it to the gig last night, and fell in love with it again. Gary tells me there is a twin to this cabinet that will be a D-10 and then head to Texas. I know you'll love it, Jody! Wow!! What a beautiful piece of work! I would be happy if mine looks half as good as this one...but I know Gary would never settle for that  .
Congratulations, Roger...you will love the guitar. The guitars that Gary is building are very finely crafted, precision instruments. The consistency of tone is amazing from one guitar to the next; they all sound the same, and they all sound fantastic.
Roger, what kind of amp rig do you use with the Ritt?
Can't wait to get mine.

Bill & Gary, thanks guys! The mica/lacquer combination makes a lot of sense. The top and back apron are subject to the most damage (bar dings and belt buckle scratches), and just doing lacquer on the front apron makes it a beautiful guitar and keeps the cost in reason.
Jody, you really have something to look forward to. Last night I played through a Ken Fox modded Webb with a JBL speaker. What a combination. Some of our one hour shows I use a Nashville 112 (or two), and I'm also putting together a Revelation preamp and TC M350 effects unit. I have no doubt that the Ritt will sound great through any of them. |

| Ernie, the stable right now is my Zum D-10, Mullen G2 SD-10 and the Rittenberry. All are marvelous guitars, and each has it's strong points. The Ritt is a top drawer guitar. Take a look while we're in Saluda. |

Roger, sounds like you're in "amp heaven"  .
I was talking to Gary today and he told me that with some design innovations in the past year he now has the measurable cabinet drop on the 4th str. on his guitars down to an avg. of 3.75 cents. That's less than 1Hz. Pretty negligible in the scheme of things, I think.
Dennis, how are things in the great Northwest? Sure would love to visit again.

Roger, I had the treat of test driving your beauty before you did. It is an absolute jewel. If you wouldn't have taken it, I would have. 
Gary does terrific work, and this mica/lacquer combination is a winner in my book. You do get the best of both worlds. I had first seen Gary's work about 2 years ago. What he is building now is a totally different animal. Truly great guitars.

I know you'll love this guitar. Gary did mine a couple of years ago...the mechanics are right on! I'm a little partial to the color scheme too!

I should make the correction...my guitar is not a Rittenberry, but rather a custom built...Gary only worked on the undercarrage and the changer... but it's still smooth as silk.

| Joe, I'm glad you got to try it out. I hope you left some good licks on it! Gary told me you had test driven it and gave your seal of approval. Tommy Dodd called last night to ask about the new guitar. He said you and he talked, but he didn't realize the guitar you played was mine! We've got the GaSGA show coming up November 1st. I bet it get's the once over by several players. |
