I emailed the seller with questions about the pedals when I noticed the guitar come up for sale on eBay. Here is the seller's reply:
Quote:

Dear jeffb16,

We used a stock photo in here for one of the 6 photos -from steel guitar
nashville-, while the other 5 are this actual guitar taken with a subpar
camera, and were just taken yesterday.

I might remove the other one
(which turned out crisper as a better camera).

Yes, Damir it may well be a good deal, I guess that ultimately the buyer would have to decide. Do you know something about the guitar? Did the guitar originally have legrande pedals or the older pedal style as pictured in one photo? Is the guitar in its original condition? As a buyer who has a modest collection of gtrs, i always look for originality in an instrument when making a purchase i.e., a mint guitar would come with it's original parts. Thanks. ..jeff

hi Jeff,

no, I have no idea who the seller is or anything else about this guitar..if I was a collector I would be worried about guitar being 100% original but as a player only thing I worry is if that guitar plays good ,it`s stage worthy lookwise and if I like the tone of the guitar...I think, if I was in the market for a nice push/pull, I really wouldn`t care if the pedals are from Legrande or p/p guitar as long as I like the guitar and the tone and this one looks great and , as any other p/p, I`m sure tone kicks butt also. From the collectors point of view , 3 grand for this guitar may not be a good deal but from the players it sure may...

The seller lifted a picture from Bobbe Seymour's site - naughty naughty.

He states that he did this because the SGN photo is higher definition than his own. The guitar being sold has LeGrande pedals, which the seller has now acknowledged.

I got an email from the father of the seller acknowledging that while it was an error to have used the one photo from SGN's site, nevertheless the sale was genuine. The P/P guitar is a similar vintage to mine - early 80's.

The seller's got 100% feedback on close to 300 deals. I'd probably trust him on what he says.

Hey fellas my name is CJ and i am Al's son. I have the steel and my best friend in Dallas put the steel on ebay for me. I have it priced at $3250.00(non auction style)
I acquired the guitar from Bobbe on a trade that's why i used the picture from his website, the rest of the pictures i took from my phone., i have to say i didn't catch the pedal rack was different and possibly i got the picture wrong? i will delete that one picture as it was my mistake, the guitar is original and that's the original lagrande style rack, the pick-up is obviously a Bill L on the top neck. The condition of the steel to my eye is mint the case may not be the original one and i would say it's in fair shape. thanks for looking at the steel sorry for the mistake's on my part. CJ

p.s Bobbe Seymour was very generous on this trade and knows the steel better then i do.
