Dan, one of the popular hangouts for steelers near you is the Ice House in Selma, N. C. It is operated by forum member Bowie Martin and the requirement is that any band that plays there has to have a steel guitar. They have shows every Friday night and you'll usually find at least three or four steelers
hanging around. This Friday, Nashville Rash, a great honky tonk band will be there, featuring Bryant Aycock on his Sho-Bud. I plan to be there,
and probably Billy Knowles. You'll find us to be a friendly bunch. We try to help each other find gigs.

just saw this on craigslist - sounds like fun -
when i wanted to play psg everyone was looking for non-pedal, now i'm playing non-pedal and people want psg... (but i dont miss dragging around all that psg related equip.)
